In 2025, the Center for Policy Research and Outreach (CPRO) marked a transformative year in advancing evidence-based policymaking in Uzbekistan through a comprehensive approach integrating rigorous research, strategic partnerships, and active stakeholder engagement.

Since the 1990s and 2000s, Uzbekistan has made considerable progress in improving food security through prioritizing self-sufficiency, crop diversification, and, recently, administrative reforms in the agriculture sector to strengthen this strategic sector of the country.

AI presents Uzbekistan with a unique opportunity to overcome development barriers, diversify its economy, and enhance public services. However, realizing this potential will depend on deliberate policies and their implementation that strike a balance between innovation and regulation.
